How Are Ants Getting Into My Home?

People all across the country end up dealing with the exact same problem every spring and summer: ants have invaded their home! And it might seem like all you have to do is spray a little ant poison or seal off some entrances to keep the ants out. But people do this, and there is still a tendency for them to encounter ants running amok in their house! And so, in order to keep ants out, the question that one needs to answer is, "How are all these ants getting into my home?"

Making sure you are doing a good job spraying around the windows is a big part of making sure that you are keeping ants outside your house. You will be able to keep out other bugs by simply having screens over your windows, but ants tend to be able to find a way to get in through small areas. Furthermore, many people spray the ledges of their windows, thinking this is where the ants come in, but many of them also come in along the sides of the screen!

Ants will often make their way into your house at the base of your home, through cracks they will find. These cracks will often be so small that you do not even know that they are there, but the ants are still able to find them. In order to combat this, you need to spray the base of your house - all around the perimeter on the outside. This will, of course, keep ants from slipping into those cracks, but it can also help to keep the ants away from your house altogether.

Of course, anytime ants are coming into your house, they are there in order to look for food that they can take out. If you make sure that you keep all food off the counter and out of rooms where food is not supposed to be, you will certainly cut down on the number of ants in your house.

In order to keep ants out, your best bet is to simply spray as much as possible - even spraying those areas you would not even usually think of!
