How To Return From Your Honeymoon The Right Way
When you get married, you will have the wonderful opportunity to experience a week or two of bliss with the person you love as the two of you embark on your honeymoon, but one problem a lot of couples face is that they return from their honeymoon and have a hard time transitioning into their life together, which can have a negative carryover effect into the rest of the marriage itself, but if you take the time to commit a few simple tips to memory, you and your new spouse will be able to avoid this problem! It can be very difficult to transition from the thrill of planning a wedding and the joy of taking a honeymoon with the person you love to the stress and strain of regular, everyday life; in order to avoid this issue, make sure you have your honeymoon scheduled so that you can take one or two days off of work upon returning, rather than jumping right back into the grind of your everyday life. A lot of people also are given a sort of "reality check" when their marriage begins, as they are forced to start making plenty of "adult decisions" they may not have felt they were ready for, and this can put a damper on the excitement of a new marriage; have such things as your budget and your routines already established before the wedding, and this will help to ensure that you do not face problems with these decisions when your marriage is first starting out. And realize that one mistake a lot of couples make is that they get too entwined in one another early on in the marriage, leading one or the other to soon feel suffocated; make sure you both make time to see other people as well as each other, even though you may not feel like it at the time, as this will help both of you a whole lot in the long run! Realize there is a lot for you to keep in mind as you enter into this exciting period in your life, in order to ensure a smooth transition - and these tips are a few of the important things that can make this smooth transition a reality for you!

Brainstorming New Ideas
Depending on what line of work you are in, you may find yourself in a position where you are constantly having to come up with new ideas, or you may find yourself in this position quite rarely; regardless of which side of this you fall on, however, one thing that is true is that most people have a need at some point in their work or personal life to come up with ideas - and understanding the things you can do in order to make this an easier process will go a long way in helping you. Personal brainstorming is the type of brainstorming you are most likely to find yourself having to do; when it comes to personal brainstorming, you will often find that the best thing you can do is separate yourself from distractions - going for a walk, or doing something similarly relaxing where you can simply focus on the mental hurdle at hand. Group brainstorming is another type of brainstorming you are likely to be faced with often - especially with work - and is one that can be much more difficult to manage; the key to group brainstorming is to give validity to every idea that is proposed, as each individual has their own unique creative process, and you never know what proposed idea (no matter how absurd!) might lead to in someone else's mind. And finally, one of the most important things to learn about brainstorming is that subconscious brainstorming is among the best ways to achieve results; when you are working toward brainstorming on a particular project, get in the habit of planting the seed of the obstacle in your head, and ruminating over this obstacle in the back of your mind throughout your day! When you gain a good grasp of these basic elements of brainstorming, you will have a much easier time moving from "brainstorming" to "idea development" when you are faced with this task at last - regardless of whether it is in work or in your personal life, and regardless of whether your brainstorming takes place alone or with others!

Cities For Music Lovers To Visit
There are a lot of different reasons to visit a lot of different places on a trip, but one thing that can be especially fun if you are traveling is to think about the things that you really enjoy seeing when you travel, and to travel to destinations that will hit these sweet spots for you; of course, America has been at the forefront of popular music for the last hundred years, and if you are a music lover, one thing to consider - as far as the places you will aim to travel to - is going to the cities that are rich in music, both from a historical perspective and from modern developments. There are few better places for you to visit than the rock 'n roll hall of fame if you are a fan of rock 'n roll; you will find the rock 'n roll hall of fame in Cleveland, Ohio, and in addition to enjoying your trip to the rock 'n roll hall of fame itself, you will also be able to enjoy Cleveland's fresh air, beautiful scenery, and wonderful people! If you want to dig a bit deeper into the roots of music, Tennessee is the place to go; a lot of people think of Nashville these days when they think of music in Tennessee - especially now that Nashville has become a mecca of the independent rock scene, in addition to being the country music capital of the world - but in addition to seeing Nashville when you visit Tennessee, you should also visit Memphis; Memphis was the birthplace of Elvis, and it is full of jazz and blues history that you can feel in the very pulse of the city itself. And as far as jazz and blues go, there is no place that will be better for you to visit than the city that made jazz and blues famous - New Orleans! New Orleans has gone through a tremendous rebuilding process over the last several years, and the city is now nearly back to the way it was before the devastation of Hurricane Katrina; when you take a trip to New Orleans, you will be supporting the reemergence of one of America's most treasured cities, while also diving into one of the greatest music cities this country has to offer!

How Are Ants Getting Into My Home?
People all across the country end up dealing with the exact same problem every spring and summer: ants have invaded their home! And it might seem like all you have to do is spray a little ant poison or seal off some entrances to keep the ants out. But people do this, and there is still a tendency for them to encounter ants running amok in their house! And so, in order to keep ants out, the question that one needs to answer is, "How are all these ants getting into my home?" Making sure you are doing a good job spraying around the windows is a big part of making sure that you are keeping ants outside your house. You will be able to keep out other bugs by simply having screens over your windows, but ants tend to be able to find a way to get in through small areas. Furthermore, many people spray the ledges of their windows, thinking this is where the ants come in, but many of them also come in along the sides of the screen! Check out Orange Guard pest control! Ants will often make their way into your house at the base of your home, through cracks they will find. These cracks will often be so small that you do not even know that they are there, but the ants are still able to find them. In order to combat this, you need to spray the base of your house - all around the perimeter on the outside. This will, of course, keep ants from slipping into those cracks, but it can also help to keep the ants away from your house altogether. Of course, anytime ants are coming into your house, they are there in order to look for food that they can take out. If you make sure that you keep all food off the counter and out of rooms where food is not supposed to be, you will certainly cut down on the number of ants in your house. In order to keep ants out, your best bet is to simply spray as much as possible - even spraying those areas you would not even usually think of!

Tips For Training Your Cat
Lots of cat owners harbor the misconception that it is impossible to train cats, instead thinking they must put up with whatever their cat chooses to do. And while it is not nearly as easy to train cats as it is to train dogs, there are several similarities between the two. Once you understand the little things it takes to train your cat, you will be able to share your house with a truly well-behaved feline!
The first thing to realize about cats is that - just like dogs - they respond to the tone of your voice. When your cat has been bad, use a stern tone with them; when your cat has been good, use a happy tone with them; always keep your voice at the same volume level, and never yell! This goes for anything you might be training your cat in, from clawing the furniture to litter box usage to (when they are a kitten) biting. You can also notify your cat when they are doing something bad - and can even call your cat - by conditioning them to certain auditory signals. For instance, find something that makes a noise your cat does not like - such as a bell - and use it when they are misbehaving. On the other hand, if your cat has a favorite treat, you should clank the fork against the plate any time you are feeding it to them. You will soon be able to "call" your cat, just like you would a dog, as they will begin to associate the clanking of a fork against a plate with an understanding that they should come to you. And one of the best ways to keep your cat in line - acting the way you want them to act - is by using a spray bottle. You can quickly train your cat against clawing your furniture or going somewhere in your house where you do not want them to go if you simply spray them in the eyes or on the nose with water from this spray bottle whenever they do these things; they will quickly learn not to do these things, and will also learn what the spray bottle means when they see it. Once you follow these tips, you will realize that cats can be trained just as well as dogs, and it is not really so difficult to have an obedient cat!

A Tablet Computer That Delivers
The tablet computer is one of the latest crazes to take the computer market by storm. The mobile market has recently seen the Android operating system explode with popularity. Pairing these two is something that has been an obvious combination for a while and Toshiba has done it. A top notch experience is provided with the Toshiba 10.1 inch Android Tablet since it was built with plenty of features for a complete package. The biggest advantage of an Android tablet is the ability to experience the web as it is supposed to be experienced. This tablet is capable of playing flash meaning that you will never run into a website that you cannot view. Popular Apple tablets cannot say the same thing since apple products are not capable of running flash. This feature is non-negotiable for those that are constantly surfing the web. Toshiba has packed this tablet with their best adaptive display available. The tablet clearly displays graphics in any lighting environment available. In order to achieve the best results the screen is automatically adjusted in terms of color and brightness. Your screen will also rotate based on the positioning of the tablet, although it can be locked at any moment if you wish. If they have any camera installed on them, most tablets today only have one camera. This tablet includes both a rear and front facing camera. Video up to 720p can be recorded by the rear facing camera which can also take five megapixel pictures. The front facing camera can be used for any type of video chatting you may do. This technology will be used more often as its popularity continues to grow. Toshiba has loaded this particular table with the features that all tablets include. The features that are common and included are bluetooth, USB ports, and Wi-Fi. So don’t settle for a tablet that doesn’t deliver all of the goods. The top name in all laptop manufacturing is Toshiba, so it is no surprise that they hold a lot of technology regarding mobile computers.

Knowing Things To See When You Visit Las Vegas
Las Vegas stands among the most popular destinations in America for people to visit, but one thing that a lot of people fail to realize, when they visit Vegas, is that there is a lot more to the city than just The Strip; if you are going to be taking a trip to Vegas at some point in the near future, you will want to make sure you know how to maximize your trip - and if you are not planning to take a trip to Vegas sometime soon, you can keep these three ideas in mind for whenever you eventually make the time to go! Of course, when you are in Las Vegas, The Strip is "the place to go," but you should realize that there is also a downtown to Vegas, and this is where all the oldest casinos (and some of the greatest stories) are; when you go to Vegas, make sure you take the time to visit downtown, as you will be disappointed if you leave the city without seeing all that this part of the city has to offer. And although most people spend plenty of time on The Strip when they go to Vegas, most of this time is spent there at night, but instead of lounging by the pool all day long or sleeping away the afternoon when you are in Vegas, you should also take the time to get out on the strip in the daytime; in addition to the Casinos and the shows, there is also plenty of great shopping in Vegas - right there on The Strip - and the best time to get out there and see all that the Vegas shopping experience has to offer is during the day. And even though you will want to maximize the time you have to enjoy The Strip at night, one thing you should do is take at least one night to get away from The Strip for an hour or two: from far away, The Strip at night is a magnificent sight against the vast expanse of the desert, so drive a little ways away from The Strip one night, sit outside, and drink in the view.
Everyone who has spent time in Vegas has their favorite parts of the city, and when you make sure you indulge in these three things when you visit Vegas, you just might be adding one of these things to your own list when you leave.

Keeping The Value Of Your Home High
Even though you live in your home and make memories in your home, it is also one of the most major investments you will make in your life. And while no one wants to spend all their time worrying about their home as an investment, it is possible to keep your home's value high while still having fun at home. In order to do that, however, there are a few particular things you need to make sure you pay attention to. If the outside of your home looks bad, you will have a hard time selling it, which means that the curb appeal of your home is one of the most important things to pay attention to. Of course, this does not mean that your yard has to always look immaculate if you are not selling right now (which can be impossible anyway if you have kids!). But you should pay close attention to the landscaping of your yard and the condition of the outside of your home. These things are much, much easier to take care of on a continual basis than to try and take care of them all at once when it comes time to sell.
You also need to make sure you keep the walls and floor of your house in good repair, as the "first glance" impression of the inside of your house is also important. Take care of these things now, and when it comes time to sell your house there will be no need to fix or replace them. Again, this can be difficult if you have children, but train them to clean up after themselves, and your house will remain in good shape. And finally, there are things between what people can see on the outside and on the inside that are important. These things, such as the pipes and the electrical wiring, need to be kept in good shape if you want to be able to sell your house for what you feel it is worth. Check up on these things every so often, inspecting them yourself or having someone come out to do so! It is a whole lot easier to keep the value of your home high by looking after it consistently, rather than trying to take care of things all at once - regardless of whether you are selling soon or not for a long time!

Three Great Getaway Ideas For Couples
If you want to keep your relationship with your significant other fresh and strong for a long time to come, one of the best things you can do is make sure the two of you are making the effort to spend lots of quality time together, and while it is definitely possible to spend quality time together at home, it can be extremely valuable to get away from it all every once in a while; if you are looking for some great getaway ideas for you and your significant other, here are a few for you to keep in mind. Bed & Breakfast: One thing that will be a big part of having a successful getaway is for you and your significant other to be able to sort of nest in a place together without being distracted by lots of other things, and a bed & breakfast is great for this; search for highly-rated bed & breakfasts in small towns (not too far away, but not so close to home that you feel like you've gone nowhere!), and take a weekend together. Camping: Camping is certainly not the right choice for every couple, but one of the great things about camping is that it enables you to really get away from everything else; regardless of whether you are going camping at a campsite, in a cabin, or wherever you can find a spot at the end of a day of backpacking, this can give you and your significant other a chance to really enjoy your time together. All-Inclusive Getaway: Thinking outside the box a bit when you are trying to come up with a way to enjoy time with your significant other is also valuable - and "thinking outside the box a bit" does not necessarily mean scaling back to something less extravagant. Believe it or not, many all-inclusive vacations to excellent resorts in Mexico (and even to other beach locations!) cost less than a weekend somewhere nearby would cost - airfare included - and if you keep your eyes open for such getaways, you just might find that you and your significant other can spend a weekend on the beach and return to work feeling absolutely refreshed!

How To Prepare For A Tropical, Overseas Vacation
Taking a vacation to a tropical destination can be a whole lot of fun, as this can give you a chance to relax and replenish in a paradisiacal location, which is especially true when you go somewhere overseas for your tropical vacation; one thing to realize, however, is that there are a few things you will need to make sure you are keeping in mind before you take one such vacation, in order to ensure that this vacation is a success. Of course, the fact that you are going to need a passport in order to go in and out of the country will be one thing you need to think about, and you should also realize it can take several weeks to get a new passport, so if you do not have a passport, get this taken care of, and if you do have a passport, check to make sure it will not be expiring soon. Another thing to think about is the fact that you will be spending a lot more time in the sun during your tropical vacation than you probably do usually, and because of this, it will be good for you to take some time to build up a base tan before you go on the trip; it might seem silly to go tanning before taking a vacation to a tropical location, but realize that sunscreen may not be able to protect you with how much time you will be spending in the sun, unless you have a good layer of tan underneath! And of course, picking up some information about the country to which you will be traveling, before you go there, will be very important; find out what the food is like there, what some of the customs are you will have to pay attention to, and what it will cost to leave the country on your return home! The more you take care of before heading out on your tropical vacation, the easier it will be for you to enjoy it, and the more wonderful it will be!

Catching Up With An Old Friend
When you get a chance to see someone you have not seen in a long time - perhaps an old friend you are hoping to catch up with - you might think at first that there is nothing more to this than simply meeting up with them and having a good time, but before you head out to catch up with an old friend, there are a few things you will want to keep in mind first, in order to ensure that your time with them is successful! You will want to make sure you set up your time together so that it is open-ended when you are catching up with an old friend (and no, facebook does not count as "catching up"!); this means that you should give yourself the opportunity to hang out with them for longer than you were expecting to, just in case you both find you are having a great time. Not only will you want to leave your schedule open in such a way that you will be able to have an open-ended hang out time, and not only will you want to choose a place where you will be able to have an open-ended hang out time, but it will also be good for you to make sure you choose a place to get together that will be conducive to conversation; this means that there should be enough ambient noise to make you both feel comfortable, but not so much that you cannot hear the other person as they talk! And when it comes to hanging out with someone you have not seen in a while, one of the most important things is that you realize that they may not be the same person you remember; of course, they might, on the other hand, be the same person you remember, but by realizing the possibility that there may be changes (both in them and in you!), you will shield yourself from potential disappointment. Regardless of whether you are catching up with an old friend from school, an old friend from work, or even someone you used to date, you can have a lot of fun - and you can increase your chances of having fun if you pay attention to these few simple things!

Masking The Smell Of A Litter Box
If you have a closet or a room no one uses in which you can stash your cat's litter box, you will not have to worry about masking the smells that emanate from this necessary evil, but if you have your litter box hidden in the corner of a room that people still use, you will certainly want to make sure you know how to mask the smell of a litter box. After all, you can clean the litter box frequently and can even change out the litter frequently, but sometimes – especially when it gets to be hot in the house – it can seem like there is no way for you to get rid of the smell, unless you know the proper tips to follow. The first thing you are going to want is litter that is good at masking the smell of what it is hiding; while there are certainly variances to this policy, the best approach is to realize that the more expensive the litter is, the better job it will do of masking the smell – which is usually a worthwhile investment. Another thing to realize is that a litter box will pour its smell into the room much more readily if the litter box is open to the air, but if you have a covered litter box, the smell will remain much more contained – and in fact, a covered litter box with a towel partially covering the opening will do even more to prevent the smell from escaping. And it will also, of course, be necessary that you frequently clean the litter box if you want to minimize the smell; though you may not have realized it, the main thing that causes the stench of a litter box is the cat’s urine, and in order to keep up with this, you should take a couple minutes to clean out the litter box every day. The litter box is certainly the worst part of owning a cat, but when you follow these tips to cover up the smell of a litter box, you will find that you notice the smell a whole lot less!

Fill a Room With Sound By Installing Bose Speakers
A big speaker system set up in the home is not something that most people have the necessary room for. When you factor in all of the different pieces of a speaker system it can demand significant space. For this reason a powerful pair of bookshelf speakers has been released by the leader in sound systems, Bose. Their Bose 161 Bookshelf Speaker System can put out the same amount of sound as speakers that are much larger. These speakers are able to achieve this sound as a result of their unique design. Only one direction of sound is utilized by the majority of traditional speakers. A limited ability of speakers to produce sound with this design was found by Bose. Spraying sound over an array of areas was what they came up with when designing their driver. This means that in the area the speakers are in the sound will be heard from any position with an equal amount of quality. There is amazing quality put out and the sound they make is impressive as well. Twiddler drivers that are specially designed allow for sound to be created that feels as though it is coming from much larger speakers. They do this by moving more air through their small enclosures than speakers of the same size from other companies. They also make sure that the speakers do not overwork themselves with automatic protection circuitry. Increased reliability is a result. Your home doesn't not need to give up a lot of space in order for you to have a great sound system. You can fill any area of your house with high quality sounds thanks to Bose technology. They can be teamed with other Bose speakers as well if you would like to use them in a larger area. With Bose you get the highest quality speakers made regardless of how you apply them. They have been the number one name in speakers for many years and will be so for many years to come.

Sealing Your Deck
If you are a homeowner, there comes a time when you have to do the uncomfortable job of home upkeep. One of these hated jobs is dealing with a deck that needs to be re-sealed. This can be a very daunting job depending on how big your deck is and how the rails are designed. It can be difficult to figure out where to start. Discoloration happens on decks for a number of reasons, they could be sun bleached, water stained, or molded. If your deck boards are discolored you may wish to begin by bleaching them. You can choose from a number of environmentally friendly deck bleaches like oxalic acid. When you bleach make sure to follow the manufacturers directions and to wear proper personal protection. Once you have bleached the deck you should really wait for the deck to completely dry for 24 hour. At this point you may with to all apply an acrylic based deck stain this can add richness to the wood along with very dramatic color depending on the stain color you choose. Depending on your taste you can choose from a subtle to a bold color. Many stains also contain a UV protectant to help extend the life of your deck. Your stain can be applied in a number of different ways. There is always the old reliable ways of using a brush and some elbow grease. Some people lean toward a bit easier route such as a Deckmate finishing pad, which is a bit more automatic, or a pump sprayer that can be helpful for rails. You may have to apply multiple layers of stain depending on how deep in color you wish your wood to go. Transparent sealant is required after you have given the stain a chance to dry. This acts as the icing on the cake. This helps to protect the wood form water that tends to sit on the deck. You can easily determine if you deck needs to be stained if you don't see "beads" of water on your deck after rain. Though it can be a pain to deal with your deck it is well worth the time and money. Playing Volleyball In A Standard Pool
If you have a pool, or if you have friends who have a pool, one thing that is a lot of fun to do during the summer is to play a bit of pool volleyball, but while most people think that their pool is not conducive to pool volleyball (after all, it is a rare pool indeed that is shallow all the way across), you can still play pool volleyball in a standard pool. The first thing you will need to do, in order to play pool volleyball in a standard pool, is to set up the net so that there will be enough space for people to stand on the "deeper" side, as well as on the shallow side, without them slipping so deep that the water is above their heads. Once you have created a bit of space on the "deep end" side of the pool, use pool noodles or some other sort of pool toy to mark the boundaries of the deep end side - setting these markers along the side of the pool. The Poolside Volleyball set. The natural boundaries of the shallow end makes things on that side much easeir than the arbitrary boundaries of the deep end, as you can simply designate the wall around the shallow end as the "out" line; you can also make things easier on the team that is stuck trying to keep their heads above water in the deep end by allowing balls that bounce off the wall and back into the pool to still be in play. Once you have set up the net and established the boundaries, you can divide up the teams into "those tall enough to stand in the deeper part" and "those short enough to get to play in the shallow end." With the teams thus divided up in some semblance of "evenly," you will be ready to start playing - having fun as you institute a new family tradition of playing volleyball in your pool!

How To Get The Most Out Of Your Fantasy Football Experience
For some fantasy football participants, simply playing fantasy football is enough to give them the fun they are looking for, but for others, fantasy football is a lot more fun when they add a few extras to the experience! Although every different fantasy football player will find that the extras that appeal to them will be different from the extras that appeal to others, if you are looking to enhance your fantasy football playing experience here are a few ideas for you to keep in mind – both for you and for your entire league! There are a lot of leagues in which the participants draft their team at the beginning of the season and then pretty much leave their team alone for the rest of the year; one of the best ways to make fantasy football as fun as it can be is keeping everyone active, and one of the best ways to keep everyone active is to continue proposing trades throughout the season – always adding to and trying to improve your team, and pushing others to do the same. Another thing that will help everyone have a lot more fun is keeping up running threads of conversation during the season; regardless of which site you use for your league, there is probably a message board function – so do your best each week to introduce new topics on the message board about the NFL, fantasy football in general, and your league specifically, and watch as the interaction among players in your league continues to increase! And one of the best things for you to do if you really want to multiply your fantasy football fun is keep an eye out for “extras” that the members in your league can participate in; examples of such extras include rewards for whoever scores the most points each week, punishments for whoever scores the fewest points each week, and side bets for all the different games going on in your league each week!

Making The Most Of Your Days Off
For a lot of people, it seems as though there are never quite enough hours in the day, or in the week, for them to get done all the things they want (or need) to get done - and when it comes to days off, this is especially true, as their free time disappears a lot more quickly than they would like, and leaves nothing behind when it is gone; while you will not be able to do something that will create more time in your day, however, it is possible to make the most of your time, so here are a few thoughts to keep in mind for making the most of your days off. One of the first things you will want to make sure of (even though this might not seem like much in the way of "making the most of your days off") is that you are being productive on your days off; when you have a day off, your first focus should be on getting done all the things that are important for you to get done that day, as this will enable you to move on with the rest of your day without responsibilities hanging over you. Another thing to think about when it comes to days off - and when it comes to the fact that most of them come and go and leave nothing behind - is that these free days will mean a lot more in retrospect if you make an effort on these days to "make a memory"; when you are planning what you will do and enjoy in your free time during a day off, plan things with the intention of "making memories," realizing that the memories you make will last a lot longer than the day itself. And finally, realize that sometimes the best thing of all you can do on a day off - in order to make the most of it - is to simply do nothing at all; it will actually be quite difficult to do this at times, but on some of your days off, choose to simply lounge around, going nowhere and accomplishing nothing significant, but simply relaxing and replenishing, as this is often a great way to get the most out of your days off! When you have days off, keep these tips in mind, and it will be much easier for you to come away from these days feeling as though you truly got the most out of them that you could.

Three Fun Games To Play In The Pool
If your house has a pool in the backyard, you are fully aware of the fact that a pool can be a lot of fun - but you are also probably aware of the fact that it can sometimes be difficult to figure out exactly what you should do in the pool, as there is only so much time you can spend having fun by just catching rays or swimming laps! Because of this, it is important for you to have some games that you enjoy playing in the pool if you hope to get the most out of it, and while there are certainly lots of different possibilities when it comes to games (and while you can even make up your own if you would like to!), here are a few games that are always great to try. Diving games: There are plenty of different diving games you can consider trying, ranging from simple ones like taking turns with someone else trying to do spectacular dives, or having one person dive into the water while the other person throws rings into the shallow end that the diver has to swim down and get before coming up for breath! Basketball: Even though basketball is a bit more structured than "diving games," there are still plenty of creative things you can do if you have a basketball goal alongside your pool, as games can range from HORSE to 21 to two on two or three on three basketball if you have enough people! Raft games: And there are plenty of creative games you can come up with for your rafts if you have a few of them in your pool; you can play tag, with everyone stuck on rafts, or you can battle, to where everyone has to try and knock others off rafts, or you can play games where you work together and have to try and throw something from raft to raft without allowing it to fall in the pool! There are no rules when it comes to having fun in the pool; you simply need to be willing to be creative, and be willing to have a bit of fun, and you will really start getting the most out of your pool!

Finding Times And Places For Thinking
It is impossible to deny that life gets hectic at times, and no matter what you do for a living or what a typical day in your life is like, there will be times when you simply need to be alone - and even more so, there will be times when you need to get some thinking done. As so much of life is surrounded by a hectic swirl of busyness and business and family and friends and other forms of interaction, many people do not realize how little time they spend thinking in silence until they actually start making the time to do so - but when you start to find times and places for thinking quietly, it will make all the difference in the world. If "work" is the reason you feel like life is always so busy and non-stop, there is a good chance that you commute to and from work each day - and if you take this commute in the car, this gives you a perfect time and place for thinking in silence; get into the habit of turning off your radio sometimes, and let your thoughts carry you forward into the day. Your back patio on a pleasant afternoon is another great place where you can be alone and enjoy a bit of thinking in silence - and in fact, this can even be the case if you live in an apartment instead of in a house, as being "separated" from everything can feel the same as being in true silence. And if you do your best thinking while you are moving around, there is nothing that fits the bill better than a walk - which you can do through your neighborhood or through a park, and you will be able to get your blood flowing and get your thoughts flowing at the same time. Once you begin to make the time to do some thinking in silence, you will soon be surprised to find what a difference this can make in the direction of your everyday life.

Tips For Ignoring Conflicts
There is a lot of emphasis both in family situations and in the workplace on understanding how to resolve conflicts, and while knowing how to resolve conflicts is certainly useful – and while it is often the right way to go – there are other times when you will realize that you are in a conflict that the other person has no interest in resolving, in which case the best thing for you to do is understand how to simply ignore the conflict. Of course, discerning when you should resolve a conflict and when you should just ignore it can sometimes be difficult, but the more time you spend around someone – at home, or at work – the more readily you will be able to determine whether you should resolve the conflict or simply walk away from it. Because of this, the first step to ignoring conflicts is being able to identify when you should ignore a conflict; one clear indication of times when you should ignore conflicts is when the person with whom you are having the conflict appears to be on the “war path” – that is, when they seem to simply be looking for an argument for no reason at all. Once you have determined that you are in a situation where you should be ignoring the conflict, you should train yourself to simply walk away from the conflict without making a big show; although it can be more natural to say something like, “that's it, I'm just walking away,” all this will really do is open the conflict further – which is why you should simply walk away without making any show at all. And one thing that can be difficult about simply ignoring a conflict in this way is that the person walking away will feel like the conflict was never resolved; but realize that oftentimes when someone is simply on the war path, they will not even realize the frustrations they have planted in others, so wait for their bad mood to blow over, and everything will be magically patched up again!

Tips For Making Good Money As A Barista
If you are working as a barista (or if you think you might someday work as a barista), you will probably be paid a basic wage, but there will also be the opportunity for you to make some money on tips - and while you might be able to get by off of the basic wage, it is always nice to be able to pull in a little extra money. While some of the factors that will determine the tips you receive (such as where you work, how hard your coworkers work, et cetera) will be outside of your control, there are still a number of things that you will be able to control yourself. When it comes to making money as a barista, smiling a lot is one of the big keys; it can get tiring to smile all day long, but you need to remember that each new customer has no clue if you were smiling earlier; they only know what they see during their time in the store! You will also be able to make good money in tips as a barista if you are able to answer questions; even though most customers will be content to purchase their drink and leave, you will certainly run into those customers who want to know about a number of different menu items before they make a choice, and it will certainly help you if you are able to help them! And of course, you need to recognize that people are not very likely to give you tips if they cannot see the tip jar; while the place where you work might have rules about what you can do to make the tip jar noticeable, you should take advantage of everything that is allowed - putting the tip jar in a location where people will see it, and adorning it in such a way that it stands out. When you follow these tips, you will be taking care of the things that are in your control to take care of - and in this way, you will increase the chances of getting the tips you are hoping to get!

Answering The Question "Will A Degree In Writing Help Me?"
With another year of school wrapping up, thousands of high school students are graduating and moving into the next stage of their life - with college and all the things that go with it just around the corner; and of course, of the things that "come with" college, the decision of what to major in during those four years of college will be one of the biggest decisions of all. And while lots of high school students head toward college thinking they might want to study writing, these same students might have been told that a degree in Writing will not help them find a job or make any money after school, which brings up the question, "Will a degree in writing help me?" One of the misconceptions about writing degrees is that they can only be used by people who hope to become authors - which is, of course, a difficult and precarious path to try to walk along - but there are actually a lot more areas in which a writing degree can be useful than just becoming an author. Now that the internet is used so prevalently by consumers, businesses must be able to keep up with the best ways to use the internet - and at the center of just about every "best way to use the internet" is writing. Furthermore, because there are so many business students attending most colleges - and because this means large classes with simpler assignments - many business students graduate from college with no particular ability to write well, which makes them a less appealing candidate for many jobs in the current business landscape.
These days, there is a small number of degrees that are consistently valuable (degrees such as Accounting and Engineering), but most other degrees are hit or miss these days, and because of the ever-increasing need for employees in the business world who have an ability to write, a student could certainly do a whole lot worse than leaving college with a degree in Writing!

Bring Your Own Snorkeling Equipment on Your Next Vacation
One of the most fun things to do on vacation is to go snorkeling. A first hand interaction with the ocean is offered when people go snorkeling. Recreating a fish tank at home is great, but it is nothing like interacting with a real live coral reef in the ocean. You can observe the fish and corals in their natural habitat on a reef. However many times the snorkeling gear that you are provided with is subpar and can really make the experience less enjoyable. Going on a vacation it is a good idea to bring your own snorkeling gear for you to use while gone. Your flippers are the part of your snorkeling gear that is the most important. You can easily snorkel over coral with flippers that are on your feet in the water. You won't be able to keep up with your group if you have flippers that inhibit your ability to move around. Often times they don’t fit your feet correctly and this causes them to be too loose. A great flipper called the Trek Travel Fin is made by US Divers. Most sized feet can be adjusted for this flipper. They have a short blade that allows you to swim through the water much quicker. Most people don't bring their own gear for snorkeling because it is hard for them to pack in their luggage. The ease of bringing these flippers on a trip is one of their best attributes. They are also very comfortable and won’t give you blisters like many flippers do. Snorkeling isn't the only thing you can do with these travel fins. You can partake in other water sports with them as well. Body boarding or swimming for exercise are a few examples of these sports. You can choose whatever sport you want and these comfortable slippers will allow you to have fun. The flippers that you use should not be provided by the tour operator since they are usually well worn out.

Exploring Things To Consider When Choosing A Road Trip Car
If you are planning to take your own car on a road trip, you will pretty much be stuck with whatever your vehicle is, which renders the question of "best car to take on a road trip" null and void, but if you are going to be choosing which car from a group of friends or from your family that you will be taking on a road trip, it is important that you know a few things to look at in order to help you narrow down your decision. And actually, it is not uncommon for people to rent a car that they can take on a road trip, as this will prevent them from having to put so many miles on their own car - and in this scenario, it will be even more important that you know what to look for in a road trip car, as you will have even more options to choose from. For most people, "having enough space" is their first consideration when it comes to road trips; as the driver, you will want to make sure you will not be cramped for the duration of your trip, and as a passenger, you will want to make sure you have enough room for your legs as well as for your arms and your neck. But at the same time, the miles per gallon you will get on your road trip will be a big consideration, as a car that gets 17 miles per gallon and a car that gets 34 miles per gallon means a difference of double as far as money spent on gas - and of course, you will usually find that smaller cars (that is, cars that have less space) are the ones that get better gas mileage. Finding a middle ground between space and miles per gallon is certainly possible, or you may find that you have to choose between one and the other - but once you make this decision, the final thing you will want to make sure you add to your decision-making process is the reliability of the car; get a reliable car, and you will at least be certain of making it from "here" to "there"!

Tips For Boxing Your Things When Moving
When you are moving, there will be a lot of things you will have to worry about (after all, you will want to make sure you leave nothing important behind, you will need to get everything lined up with the moving truck, and you will have to do all the moving work as well), and because there is so much that goes into the act of moving, many people end up forgetting that one important aspect of moving is boxing up all their things. Because people fail to realize that this is an important aspect of moving, they end up simply tossing their belongings into boxes and stacking these boxes in the truck - never realizing that there is a much better way to approach boxing up their things! The first thing to realize about boxing up your things is that you should take the time to wrap and protect each one of your breakables; people tend to get sloppy when it comes to this part of moving, but it is better to take a bit of time and protect your breakables than to show up at your new house with your breakables all broken! You will also want to make sure you are maximizing space in each box you use; it is easy to toss everything into the boxes in a hodgepodge manner, but when you do this, you will often find that you have suddenly run out of room in the truck - and of course, it is a whole lot better to box things up tightly and to make the move far more efficient. And one of the biggest tricks of moving that most people fail to add to their arsenal is simply writing down the contents of each box. Each box does not require its own, detailed report, but if you number each box (labeling it, for instance, "Living Room 1," "Living Room 2," et cetera), you can jot down on a corresponding legal pad the important things in each box - and when you are moving into your new home, this will make everything a whole lot easier!

Managing Money As The Commissioner Of A Fantasy Football League
When you are running a fantasy football league, there will be a lot of things on your plate, but while some leagues play for the pure fun and competition of fantasy football, most leagues play for money - where everyone puts in a certain amount, and the money is doled out as "prize money" at the end of the season - and if you are the head of a league in which money is at stake, managing this money properly is one of the biggest things you will need to make sure you do. Of course, making sure everyone pays you at the beginning of the season will be the first step to managing money as the commissioner of your fantasy football league; if everyone in your league lives in the same city, this will not be difficult, but if some of you are spread out around the country, use a service such as Serve or PayPal to collect the money - and be strict about the fact that anyone who does not pay before the season will not be part of the league! Of course, considering the fact that money is at stake, there is a chance you will run into those rare instances in which two players collude with one another (for instance, if one person is having a horrible season, and they trade one of their best players for practically nothing, you must assume there is a chance they were compensated with actual money); you will want to have everyone in the league vote if this is the case, and you should plan to cancel the trade if more than half the members of the league agree that the trade was unfair. And while the hope is that you will not have to face such underhanded dealings, one responsibility you will face is knowing how you will divvy up the money at the end of the season; some leagues do a percentage of the money for the division winners, with another percentage for the champion, while others give all the money to the champion. Regardless of what you decide to do in your league, it will be absolutely vital that it is decided before the season begins, and that everyone is in agreement with the plan, as this will help the money-side of things run much more smoothly, and will make the other aspects of the season a lot more fun!

Making Your Relationship Work
For many people, one of the biggest keys in life for them is figuring out exactly what they can do (what they need to do!) in order to make their relationship work with their spouse or significant other; of course, this issue is complicated and has many layers - and for each couple (for each individual, for that matter), the exact answers to this issue will be different - but there are also a few specific things that any couple can keep in mind, and that will help them as they move through the process of making their relationship work. Communicaton is the biggest key to making a relationship work, but while people hear this all the time, they are often not given a totally clear picture of exactly what this means; in order to communicate effectively, the two people in the relationship must not only communicate by talking, but they must also communicate by listening! When the two people in a relationship learn to express things and also listen to things, they will be setting their relationship on the right path for it to thrive for a long time to come. Realizing that the other person is not your identity is another big key; too many couples get in the bad habit of allowing their identity to exist solely inside of what their relationship with the other person is, but a relationship must be "give and take" in order for it to work, and in order for there to be "give and take," each person in the relationship must be able to maintain a strong identity within their own self. And maybe the single best thing a couple can do is strive to have fun together. Many couples get in a place where each person takes everything so seriously that they never have fun, but having fun together is the rain that feeds the "relationship plant," allowing it to thrive, and as you continue to have fun together as the years pass, the two of you will continue to enjoy one another within a strong relationship - a relationship that works!

Visiting Chicago's Shedd Aquarium
If you are planning a trip to Chicago this summer, one of the areas you are sure to spend time around is Lake Shore Drive, which runs along the waterfront of Lake Michigan - and as you are spending time on Lake Shore Drive, it is a pretty safe bet that you will also spend some time in the museum district. When you are in the museum district, make sure you budget in some time to spend at Shedd Aquarium, which is one of the most popular (and most highly-regarded) aquariums in the world! You should set aside at least half a day for enjoying Shedd Aquarium in order to get the full effect, and if you have children, you might want to have a little more time than this, as they are likely going to want to linger in a number of different areas. Shedd Aquarium has a wonderful program and map that you can get at the front desk when you go, which lists all the different areas of the aquarium as well as all the "talks" and special events that will be taking place during the day. The experts who conduct the "talks" at Shedd Aquarium are a treasure trove of knowledge, and not only will you learn a lot by listening to them, but you are sure to also come up with plenty of questions - all of which the expert is sure to be able to answer!
To go along with its amazing center aquarium - which is full of an incredible assortment of fish - Shedd Aquarium has a world-renowned shark display, several beautiful beluga whales, and a great collection of dolphins (the latter two of whom you can see from both above the water and from a glass front under the water!). If you are an aquarium lover, Shedd is sure to give you everything you could want in an aquarium; but even if you are not an aquarium lover, you will certainly have a great time visiting Shedd and seeing all the beautiful animals.
